Amazon flat-file error codes
Plain-English guides to the errors Seller Central throws when a flat-file upload is rejected. Each explains what the code means and how to fix it.
- Error 8541 — Amazon error 8541 is an attribute mismatch: your value conflicts with Amazon’s catalog value for that ASIN. Reconcile to Amazon’s value to clear it.
- Error 8016 — Amazon error 8016 is a variation or parent-child relationship mismatch — wrong variation_theme or a SKU set as its own parent. Here is how to fix it fast.
- Error 8105 — Amazon error 8105 means a required attribute is missing for your product type. If the value is derivable from your row we fill it; if not, we flag it to escalate.
- Error 8567 — Amazon error 8567: your SKU maps to no ASIN and lacks valid data to create one (GTIN not on Amazon + insufficient new-ASIN attributes). Often needs Seller Support.
- Error 5665 — Amazon error 5665 is an image-conformance failure: main image not pure-white, has text/watermark/logo, or wrong product. Usually needs a new image, not a flat-file edit.
